Can you vote in the local elections? Probably yes!
If you're an international living in Aarhus, there's a good chance you can vote in the upcoming municipal elections on November 18.

Citizen Service, City of Aarhus
Ask Citizen Service (Borgerservice), about how to obtain a CPR number, get or change your GP/family doctor, the yellow health insurance card, change your Danish address, MitID, change of foreign driver's license and much more. We may also guide you to where to find relevant online information from the public authorities in Denmark.

Girl Gone International Aarhus
Girl Gone International Aarhus is a local community for international womxn living in or new to Aarhus. Part of a global network, we create friendships and support through meetups, events, and shared experiences - helping you feel at home, wherever you're from.
International Community
A network of opportunities. International Community offers free services, resources, and events to those who have chosen Aarhus as their home and place to further their career. If you are an international employee, accompanying spouse, international graduate, or someone who is internationally minded, our activities are for you.
LGBT+HUSET (The LGBT+HOUSE)
LGBT+HUSET (The LGBT+HOUSE) in Aarhus is a community for all LGBT+-people in the city. They host weekly cafés, an arts and crafts club, a board game café and other social activities during the week. They also provide information about the rest of the LGBT+-scene.
Studenterhus Aarhus
Studenterhus Aarhus is the place to be for all students and young people in Aarhus - we are an international house where you can meet your friends in the café, or join one more than 100 cultural events we host every year including weekly International Nights, Board Game Cafés, concerts, - and non the least our famous bi-weekly pub quiz. We also have a bar with more than 250 speciality beers - for young and old.
Aarhus Toastmasters
Aarhus Toastmasters is a community where we practice Public Speaking and Leadership, by meeting every 2 weeks, having speeches and professional speaking advice, followed by feedback sessions.

A2B – Official Provider of Danish Language Course in Aarhus
A2B is the main provider of the Official Danish Language courses in Aarhus. The courses are FREE of charge with a valid referral from the municipality.
You can join classes either at our language center in Aarhus C, online via Teams, or at Aarhus University (for staff, their spouses, and students).

Aarhus Bibliotekerne / Aarhus Public Libraries
The 18 public libraries in Aarhus are places to read, work, or study as well as spaces for families to hang out, learn and play. Register to borrow books, e-books, audiobooks, children’s books, international newspapers, magazines, etc. It is free, as are most of their events and activities.

Danseparaplyen Aarhus / The Dance Umbrella Aarhus
Danseparaplyen Aarhus is a network for all kinds of dance. Dancing gives you energy, new friendships, exercise, and joy. Danseparaplyens website offers to be your entrance to dance in Aarhus. Here, you will find an event calendar and an overview of the different dance styles and dance organisers.
Pro Pace International Choir
ProPace Aarhus International Choir is an energetic, LGBTQ+ friendly amateur community promoting peace, joy and tolerance through multilingual singing. Free for everyone regardless of age, background or experience. We meet Monday evenings at Folkestedet and socialize regularly, exploring cultures and enjoying hyggelig time together. All are welcome!
Run for Friendship
Run For Friendship is the city’s most friendly running club. They run Tuesdays and Thursdays (come when you can) from Studenterhus Aarhus with experienced and supportive volunteer coaches guiding the runs. Open to all levels, whether you're ready to run a marathon tomorrow or just got up from the sofa! You can expect a varied programme, including fun themed runs - and on thursdays we usually meet in the student bar for a beer or soda.
Århus Baseball Softball Klub
Århus Baseball Softball Klub has many years of experience being a club where internationals can be introduced to the Danish 'foreningsliv' which is very unique for Denmark. Since our sport is more international than Danish, we have many members originating from countries like north- and South America, Asia and Eastern Europe, where baseball and softball are more popular. We have a great mix of Danish naturals and internationals which make the club both inclusive but also a great place to make Danish friends.
Aarhus Beachvolley Club
Aarhus Beachvolley Club offers training all year round on 19 courts outside and 4 courts inside. Training takes place at all levels – whether you’re a newbie or an expert – join the training or play with friends. 900 members from 3-70 years of age, thick and thin, Danes and internationals make up the club. Aarhus Beachvolley Club is run by volunteers and was awarded sports club of the year in Aarhus in 2022.
Aarhus Kin-ball Forening
Come and experience KIN-BALL firsthand with the Aarhus Kin-Ball club! We're a friendly and diverse community that meets weekly to play this fun and unique sport. With three teams on the court and a huge, lightweight ball, it's a game that's easy to learn and offers a great workout. Join us and see what it's all about!

International Day Nursery - Aarhus
The International Day Nursery is a public day nursery run by the City of Aarhus. If you are an international family with a child 0-3 years of age living in Aarhus, this nursery may be the right place for you and your child. The main focus of the day nursery is to provide a stable, warm, creative, playful, and developing environment for the children in close cooperation with their parents. The everyday language in the nursery is English.

- Daycare (childminder, day nursery, and kindergarten) 0-6 years of age
- Municipal (public) primary and lower-secondary school
- School-based leisure-time facility (skolefritidsordning/ SFO) approx. ages 6-9
- A free-time club (fritidsklub) approx. ages 10 to 14
