I have turned 22 - how do I receive dental care treatment?
You get free dental check-ups, advice on dental care, and treatment until you turn 22*. After the age of 22 you must pay for dental check-ups and treatment at a private dentist. We will guide you on how you choose your new dentist.
When you turn 22 you can no longer continue your dental check-ups and treatment with the municipal dental care (Tandplejen). You must pay for your dental check-ups and treatment after the age of 22 at a private dentist.
*If you are born in 2003 or earlier, you cannot continue your dental care with the municipal dental care (Tandplejen) when you turn 18 and must therefore decide which private dentist to attend.
At your last dental appointment with the municipal dental care, we will guide you on how to find a private dentist.
