Order a residence certificate or a civil registration certificate
If you need documentation of your current or past addresses, marital status, citizenship, or former names you can order a residence certificate (bopælsattest) or a civil registration certificate (civilstandsattest) online.
Request a residence or civil registration certificate
A civil registration certificate (civilstandsattest) is a residence certificate that also contains information about your marital status, nationality and name history. The certificate can be issued in Danish, English, or German.
The certificate will be sent by digital post. You also have the opportunity to print the certificate.
A certificate costs 88 kroner (2024).
If you cannot do self-service online you can call Citizen Service (Borgerservice): 89 40 22 22.
If you want to order a certificate for someone else, you need to show up in person at Citizen Service with a signed power of attorney. We will then send the certificate to the address of the person in question.
