Change of address

If you change your address in Denmark, you must report your move to the Civil Registration Office (Folkeregister) - part of Citizen Service (Borgerservice) - in the municipality you are moving to.

Housing benefits

If your residence is rented you may be eligible to receive housing benefits from Udbetaling Danmark to help pay the rent.

At borger.dk you can apply for information about a person's current address.

Who is registered at my address?

You may be informed of the number of people registered at an address if you are the owner or the tenant of the residence in question.

Order a residence certificate or a civil registration certificate

If you need documentation of your current or past addresses, marital status, citizenship, or former names you can order a residence certificate (bopælsattest) or a civil registration certificate (civilstandsattest) online.

Remove a person from your address

If someone is registered at your address but is not in fact living there, you can request to have the person deregistered from the address.
