According to the General Data Protection Regulation, we must inform you about a number of details in our processing of your information and your rights in that regard upon your writing to us.
The City of Aarhus is the data controller in processing your personal data.
We process your personal data that you send us when we process your inquiry.
Our processing of personal data is made on the basis of:
- Article 6(1) points (c) and (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Article 9(2) point (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Section 8(1) and (2)(iii) of the Danish Data Protection Act.
- Section 11(1) of the Danish Data Protection Act.
The information is also processed and stored securely at our suppliers.
In accordance with the approval of our electronic case processing system, the information which we process about you will be deleted after five years. We may delete it at a later point in time if, due to continued case processing, it is necessary to store the information for a longer period of time.
You have a right to request access to the information that we have about you. You also have a right to request rectification or deletion of information, and you may also request restriction of the processing of the information. However, you should be aware that the municipality is typically obliged to keep the information we have about you until the above mentioned deadline for deletion has been met.
