Payment of bills and debt to the municipality
With My Payment Overview (Mit Betalingsoverblik) you can pay your bills and debt to the City of Aarhus. This applies to property tax bills, or fees for parking or daycare, youth activities and more. You are also able to see if you have any outstanding debts to the municipality and can set up an instalment plan.
Pay your debt or bill to the City of Aarhus
If you are unable to pay your bill, it is important that you contact the Collections Department (Opkrævningen) in the City of Aarhus. Otherwise, interests and fees can accumulate on your bill.
The Collections Department can tell you about your options for putting a bill on hold or agreeing upon an instalment plan. If you have debts to the municipality, the Collections Department can help you set up a plan for paying through instalments.
Off-setting against your debt
If you receive overpaid tax or other receivables from the public sector, these will automatically be offset to cover your debt with the City of Aarhus.
If your debt relates to payment for daycare and youth activities, there may also be an off-setting of child and youth benefit.
This also applies even if you have entered into an instalment plan.
