Payment of invoices and debt to the City of Aarhus
With “My Payment Overview” (Mit Betalingsoverblik), you can pay your invoices and debts to the City of Aarhus. This applies to property contributions such as chimney sweeping and rat control, parking tickets, daycare, youth activities, and more. You can also see if you have any outstanding debts to the municipality and set up an instalment plan.
Pay your debt or invoices to the City of Aarhus
If you cannot pay your invoice, contact the Department of Collections (Opkrævningen) in Aarhus. Otherwise, interests and fees can accumulate on your invoice.
The Department of Collections can explain your options for putting an invoice on hold or agreeing upon an instalment plan. If you have debts to the municipality, the Department of Collections can help you set up a payment plan for paying through instalments.
Off-setting against your debt
It's important to note that if you receive overpaid tax or other receivables from the public sector, these can be used to offset your debt with the City of Aarhus or Government authorities. This also applies even if you have entered into an instalment plan.
If your debt relates to payment for daycare and youth activities, there may also be a deduction in your child and youth benefit to cover the debt. This can happen as long as you have the debt.
However, it is not possible to make an instalment plan for daycare and youth activities in the City of Aarhus.
