Transfer between departments
Have you accepted a place for your child, but would like a transfer? In that case, you can apply for a transfer.
If you have accepted a place outside your guarantee of childcare district, your child can be put on the guarantee waiting list, and you can apply for a transfer to a department within your own guarantee of childcare district.
If you have accepted a place for your child within your guarantee of childcare district, you can still apply for transfer to a desired place. Please note that you can enter only one desire for another institution. Transfer may, at the earliest, take place at one month's notice at the first or sixteenth day of the month.
If the transfer will be to another daycare offer, your child shall solely be taken into consideration on the provision that there are vacant places that will not be filled by children from the guarantee waiting list.
Transfer to a desired place within the daycare offer
If you desire another department within the same daycare offer, you can sign up your child for only one desired place at the Placement Service (Pladsanvisningen). Placement is pursuant to the placement rules in force, and your child shall only be taken into consideration on the provision that there are vacant places that will not be filled by children from the guarantee waiting list.
If your child has special pedagogic needs which, in your opinion, are not met by the child's present institution, you must contact the head of daycare. However, the head of daycare can only transfer your child to another institution as a last resort, and not necessarily to a desired place.
