If your child is not registered for a daycare place three months before their first birthday, they must start in a mandatory learning offer. In the mandatory learning offer, your child participates in the nursery's daily activities and routines. Additionally, the learning offer includes that:
-

-
both parents must participate in a mandatory guidance programme in collaboration with the nursery.
-
the mandatory learning offer is free, but you must pay for meals and provide nappies.
You can register your child for a place in daycare or a nursery via the Digital Placement Service:
Sign up your child via Digital Pladsanvisning (using MitID)
Here, you can read more about childcare and find a guide on how to register your child. It is important that you register your child to start the month they turn one year old.
You should be aware that both parents and children have an attendance obligation in a mandatory learning offer. This means that if your child is absent or if you, as parents, do not participate in the planned guidance programme, your child benefit payments will be stopped.
According to the law, you, as a parent, must participate in a guidance programme. If there are two of you, both must participate. The guidance programme consists of three parts:
- a home visit of one hour before starting the mandatory learning offer.
- an initial meeting of one hour and nine workshops with your child in the daycare, each lasting two hours.
- an annual meeting for all parents of children in the mandatory learning offer.
The purpose of the guidance programme is for you to:
- learn about the daycare and how to collaborate with the staff.
- gain insight into how you can support your child's language and development.
- become familiar with the traditions, norms, and values emphasised in the daycare.
If your child is enrolled in a mandatory learning offer, they must start in one of the following daycares: Tovshøj Dagtilbud, Ellekær Dagtilbud, Brabrand Dagtilbud, Gl. Åby Dagtilbud, and Åbyhøj Dagtilbud. You cannot reqeust a specific daycare.
You cannot withdraw your child from the mandatory learning offer as long as they are under 3 years old. Instead, you can choose to register your child for a place in one of the municipality's day nurseries or childminders. You can also choose to care for your child yourself, but special rules apply.
If you move from Bispehaven, Gellerup, or Toveshøj, your child cannot continue in the mandatory learning offer. Instead, you must register your child for a regular place in a day nursery or at a childminder via the Digital Placement Service. We recommend registering your child before you move to ensure they have a place.
If you have more than one child, the children who are in a mandatory learning offer may be assigned places in different daycares.
