    10.15 - 11.00

    By Anatolie Cantir

Lecturer, Culturalist, Globetrotter & Expat in Denmark

Anatolie arrived in Denmark 20 years ago from native Moldova and made Herning his home. His drive, curiosity and “obsession” about how other people think and live made him reflect a lot about the Danish culture and society. His talk draws from existing socio-cultural, anthropological, and historical work on Denmark. It is a humorous, profound, and provocative presentation that battles through decoding known Danish traits by finding out how they play out in real life and, not least, what they could mean to international employees and… Danes.

    11.00 - 11.30

Besides providing valuable information, Aarhus City Welcome is about having a great time and enjoying yourself!

The Information Bazaar has over 40 organisations, associations, and authorities ready to give you the best possible guidance on living and enjoying life in Aarhus. Some clubs and associations are present at the Information Bazaar, so you can also experience new sports or leisure activities.

    By Kathy Borys Siddiqui

Director of Active Action – helping companies increase attraction and retention

Fall and Winter in Denmark can be challenging, especially during the dark, wet days. It is common to feel as if all the energy has been zapped out of us during this time of the year. However, all is not lost - there are tools to fight back, stay motivated, focus, and thrive despite the cold Fall and Winter, and Kathy is here to help. Kathy has been on the move since she was only eight years old, lived on two continents, in four countries and made a home in 8 different cities. She has been an immigrant, a cross-cultural kid, a re-pat and is currently an international in Denmark.
